Screw McDonald's, Make your own Shamrock Shake!

It's the time of year again where people flock (skip?) to the McDonald's Drive Thru for the notoriously minty Shamrock Shake. But did you know the McDonald's Shamrock shake has 820 calories, 115 g of sugar (that's 28 packets of sugar!) and over 54 ingredients in it?! Many of which are known carcinogens! What else do you need besides cream, sugar, mint and a little food coloring? This shake is a straight up science experiment and we deserve much better than "food" more fit for a lab rat (sorry to those totally undeserving little rats!)

Save your health, wasitline and money by making your own at home with ingredients you recognize. With it's healthy fats, protein and fiber this is a shake you can drink for breakfast and feel good about it! Even the "food coloring" (Matcha green tea) has added benefits like antoxidants to fight off aging and gives your metabolism a little boost and who's metabolism couldn't use a nice boost?! (Mine sure could) It would make a great post workout smoothie to restore muscle mass and electrolyes lost.
